I have very thin lips and thought I would give this a try. I have not been very consistent using it during the day, but I love the way it feels when I put it on at night. When I wake up there is still some on my lips so they feel soft and not dry. I am going to be more diligent during the day. I would love to see them plump up a bit!

I’m 54 years old, multiracial, and have never had any type of work done. Since childhood I’ve suffered from dry, peeling, flaking, cracking and painful lips. My now YA daughter suffers the same. I have spent 100’s and 100s of dollars & hours of research on products, some quite expensive. The best system I was able to come up with was a 5-tier system including a twice-daily scrub/peel, nighttime treatment, then serum, moisturizer/treatment, then oil/wax-type product to lock-in the moisture. And then lastly, perhaps a color which barely shows up and is unable to last long. Recently, I even had my lipline skin peel, causing ragged and misshapenness. I use BH MD products religiously, but hadn’t tried the lip product because I’m already blessed with very full lips. But I’ve noticed that most lip products nowadays advertise as size enhancers—As Black folk, we’re always told that we’re unattractive, yet everyone wants to look like us, lol. In the picture, I’m only wearing the lip product & Brighten & Tighten Restorative Facial Oil.
Well, I’ve been using this product for just over a week. 1. It sinks in, completely emollienting! 2. It coats the lip, locking in the humectants for many hours! The gloss coating is slightly sticky, but not annoyingly so, and stops me from my habit of picking. It’s very slightly sweet tasting & smelling, without any annoying menthol or tingling. 3. It lasts! I only reapply about 3x a day and before bed. 4. It also works as a good base for lipstick.
But, most importantly, my lips, including their surrounding skin, are healthy, young-looking, smooth, naturally plump, moist, and pain free for the first time in my life! I can’t wait to try the tinted versions.
