Caribbean

Kai En Ciel at Jade Mountain, St. Lucia

This spa is so picturesque, it’s almost unreal. But it is quite real, and it’s in one of the most beautiful regions of the world: the Caribbean. Guests can choose to receive their spa treatments in their rooms, at the resorts’ boutique spa, or at the Kai Mer spa cottage.

Trust us: You’re going to want to pick the spa cottage. If you’re going all the way to St. Lucia, you should enjoy the sweeping views from the Kai Mer spa cottage, which overlooks the Anse Chastanet reef.

As with many high-end spas, the packages can be pricey, but the services make it worth the expense. The good news? Kai En Ciel offers complimentary yoga. This dream destination spa goes far above and beyond complimentary cucumber water (which we assume is also offered).

Mexico

Luna y Mar, The Resort at Peregal, Cabo San Lucas

This luxury spa experience is for those who want a top-tier spa experience that also offers a connection to the Earth. Luna y Mar means “moon” and “sea” in Spanish, and many of this spa’s treatments are designed around those elements. Inspired by the different phases of the lunar cycle, the moon category features treatments representing the varying energies of the lunar cycle. The sea treatments, inspired by the ocean as the source of all life, utilize the therapeutic effects of the water, featuring ingredients like 100 percent organic seaweed and pure algae extract.

The decor at Luna y Mar is jaw-dropping, highlighting the atmospheric inspiration of the moon and the sea. Browsing through the photo gallery of Luna y Mar is enough to make you want to book a ticket to Cabo San Lucas … tomorrow.

In 2011, The St. Regis was the first luxury hotel to open in Tibet. They were clearly serious about the effort. Yes, you heard that right: At the St. Regis Lhasa, you can swim in a pool lined with actual gold.
